What I love most about photography, is that it forces you out of your own head, and into the present. Capturing fleeting moments that may otherwise get lost in the shuffle of your own memory bank. There is something about choosing to be present enough to bear witness and notice every little detail that is truly an exercise in gratitude.

Whether that be at a wedding while people are busily swirling around you in excitement and anxiety or in a family session with kids who will inevitably go rogue and not do exactly what their parents planned - capturing real life and real moments is just as important as a beautifully styled portrait. With 15 years behind a camera under my belt, I understand the duality and importance of both. A happy mixture of timeless classic portraiture and lifestyle personality driven candid captures. That is what you can expect with me.

My super powers in photography probably stem from my lifetime of eldest daughter syndrome; calm under pressure, quick to problem solve and redirect, and a nurturing easy rapport with people that quickly puts them at ease enough to allow themselves to be seen. My ethos has always been to beautifully capture what makes each individual person "them".

My job is to take good care of you and your memories. It's really that simple.
